Sam I am, I like green trees and tim-tams. Ko ngāti pākehā tōku iwi.

Born and bred in the top of the South Island, I've spent the last 28 or so years crawling, stumbling and climbing around Aotearoa New Zealand. My camera never leaves my side, capturing the good, the bad and the ugly of exploring the backcountry. 

When I'm not wandering around I hang out Wellington, working for the government and writing about my trips.
